ENROLMENT

Enrolments for Trinity College programmes for 2018 is now open.  The enrolment period will be until the 1st February 2018. Once the enrolment period is closed no further enrolments will be taken for the 2018 year except for interest papers. Enrolments for interest papers will only be accepted up until 3 months prior to the commencement of the paper.

All students must be NZ citizens or residents.  Trinity College students are not eligible for Study Link or Student allowances.

All students who enrol in a programme of Trinity College will be given an orientation into the college.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Certificate in Lay Preaching (level 5)

Students must have the approval of their Parish Council to enter this programme and have passed at least NCEA level 2 or earned an IELTS (Academic) score of 5.0 or higher. Those with neither will sit a Trinity College Entrance Test (TCET) before the beginning of the academic year.

Cost: The total cost of the Certificate in Lay Preaching is $450.

Certificate in Lay Preaching (45 credits, Level 5)

Diploma in Methodist Studies (level 5)

Students must sumbit a pre-application form then attend an interview with the Principal and Registrar before confirmation of acceptance into the programme.  All students must have passed at least NCEA level 2 or earned an IELTS (Academic) score of 5.0 or higher. Those with neither will sit a Trinity College Entrance Test (TCET) before the begining of the academic year.

Cost: The total cost of the Diploma in Methodist Studies is $2,960.

Diploma in Methodist Studies (120 credits, Level 5)

NZ Diploma in Christian Studies (level 6)

To enter the NZ Diploma in Christian Studies students must have:

    • Completed NCEA level 3; or
    • earned an IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 or higher; or
    • completed the Diploma in Methodist Studies with a B grade average or higher; or
    • hold an undergraduate degree or higher from a recognised institution; o
    • been an accepted candidate for ministry.

Alternatively, those without the above requirements are welcome to sit the Trinity College Entrance Test (TCET) before the beginning of the academic year. In addition, students must submit a pre-application, then attend an interview with the Principal and Registrar before confirmation of acceptance into the programme.

Cost: The total cost of the NZ Diploma in Christian Studies is $3,940

NZ Diploma in Christian Studies (120 credits, Level 6) 

Advanced Diploma in Religious Studies (level 7)

To enter the Advanced Diploma in Religious Studies students must have:

    • Completed the NZ Diploma in Christian Studies with a B average or above; or
    • hold an undergraduate degree in a related field; or
    • be currently serving in church ministry for more than 2 years.

In addition, students must submit a pre-application, then attend an interview with the Principal and Registrar before confirmation of acceptance into the programme.

Cost: The total cost of the Diploma in Religious Studies is $2,700

 Advanced Diploma in Religious Studies (120 credits, Level 7)

Interest Papers (Level 5 only)

Trinity College papers are available as interest papers. Papers that have a pre-requisite are noted in the list of papers along with the individual paper cost. Any paper listed without identification of a pre-requisite may be taken at leavel 5 by an individual. Papers are available based in Auckland or as on-line. A limit of 2 interest papers only in a given year will be accepted. If a student would like to seek enrolment in the Diploma in Methodist Studies programme, their work will be considered for recognition of prior learning.

Students must sumbit a pre-application form to the Registrar at least three months prior to the commencement of the paper.  All students must have passed at least NCEA level 2 or earned an IELTS (Academic) score of 5.0 or higher. Those with neither will sit a Trinity College Entrance Test (TCET) before the begining of the academic year.

 

 

Online Papers

Trinity College offers some papers online for those who live outside Auckland and in remote areas.  These papers will be simultaneously delivered on-site and online every week from 6-8pm.  Please check with the Registrar (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for more details.  Applicants can only enrol in two papers or less (maximum) per semester, and must complete an E-Learning Ready form at the time of enrolment.
