Malo e lelei,
On behalf of the Trinity Theological College community, I welcome you to the 2017 academic year!
This website gives you key information about our mission, vision and history, and above all, our study programmes and opportunities. Trinity College is committed to serving the Methodist Church of New Zealand by training people for lay and ordained ministry. It also opens its doors to anyone with an interest in theological education. As one of the most thought-provoking centres of theological education in New Zealand, we offer programmes that are credible, accessible, inclusive and transformative. Our devoted team will work with you to make sure that what you learn here counts out there.
In the 2017 academic year, we will continue to deliver our main programmes at different levels, using our blended mode of teaching and learning. That means distance should not be an obstacle, because some of our courses will be available online. You can be part of the
College community wherever you are in New Zealand.
For the third and last time, the College will operate with the theme: Excellence through Collaboration. We strongly believe that working together is integral to our success. Without the collaborative efforts of the College Council, Student Review Panel, members of staff, students, friends and partners of the College, we will not be able to achieve our goals, and to fulfil our responsibilities.
The College is proud of its ability to create a safe space for staff and students to think, to be creative, to be different, to critically interrogate their practice in an ongoing, reflective, supportive, inclusive, learning- orientated, growth promoting way, and function as collective enterprise. Within such a community excellence is attainable.
Let us work and learn together to bring about a successful, exciting and excellent year!
'Ofa atu mo e lotu,
Rev Dr Nasili Vaka'uta
