Strategic Purpose Statement
This is an advanced, one-year, Level 7 qualification designed for graduates from any discipline who wish to deepen their theological knowledge and skills. It is also open to those with substantial professional or academic experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree. The programme is grounded in biblical and theological studies while being contextually situated in Aotearoa and Oceania, with strong emphasis on justice, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and bicultural partnership.

Structure:
- 2 compulsory Level 5 foundation courses (30 credits total)
- 1 elective at Level 6 (15 credits)
- 4 electives at Level 7 (80 credits total)

- BBS510 Exploring the Bible (15 credits)
- BTS510 Introduction to Theological Studies (15 credits)
Level 6 (One Elective, 15 credits)
Level 7 (Four Electives, 80 credits total)
Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- A recognised undergraduate degree in any discipline; OR
- Demonstrated equivalent academic or professional experience (assessed through RPL/RCC process)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Credit Transfer, and Cross-Credit may be available where appropriate.
