Strategic Purpose Statement
This is a non-NZQA qualification and is designed to equip people who are in ministry with an in-depth understanding of religion and its impacts on society.
Programme Structure
To earn this qualification, students must complete three papers (20 credits each) and one of two options.
Option 1: Complete a research project (40 credits) and 1 elective (20 credits)
Option 2: Complete 3 electives (60 credits)
This programme can be completed in 1 year (full time) or up to a maximum of 3 years (part time).
Entry Requirements
Students must have met the entry requirements for a Level 7 programme or have completed the NZ Diploma in Christian Studies with a B average or above, or hold an undergraduate degree in a related field, or currently serving in church ministry for more than 2 years.

Analyse the social political situation with reference to ministry.

Students are required to do 3 electives or alternatively, write a research project on a subject approved by the Principal. Upon approval, a staff member will be assigned to supervise the work.
